The Poetry Book Society has named Cheshire-born Jen Hadfield in its 2014 Next Generation Poetry list.

The list is released once a decade and names the 20 most influential poets of the next ten years (past luminaries include Carol Ann Duffy and Simon Armitage). Hadfield is also the youngest ever winner of the TS Eliot prize, for her 2008 collection Nigh-No-Place, and is now tipped to 'dominate the poetry landscape'. Her most recent work Byssus, released in February 2014, draws strongly on her love of adopted home Shetland.
